    GM Reveals 2016 GMC Sierra

    2016 GMC Sierra Unveiled
    General Motors

    July 15, 2015

DETROIT -- GMC’s best-selling truck has great momentum coming off its best June since 2006 and 12 consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains.

With exterior styling as its top reason for purchase, the new truck adds key design elements: LED “C-shaped” signature daytime running lights and LED headlights; new front fascia and grilles for each trim level; new LED fog lamps; new bumpers; and new “C-shaped” LED taillights.

The new Sierra will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, with additional details and information on the new model released in the coming months.

Very sharp looking! Did we know that GM was working on a refresh of the Silverado and Sierra?

I love the way the new GM makes the effort to fix things where the old GM would've just slapped on some incentives and call it a day.

Re: GM Reveals 2016 GMC Sierra

I love the updated Sierra. Easily the best truck on the market.
I just wish (at least the Denali version) would have floor mounted shifter as an option!!!
NOT a fan of the column shifter (AT ALL) its not 1985, but what do I know, GM sells these like hotcakes!!!

Re: GM Reveals 2016 GMC Sierra

When the 2016 Silverado was revealed earlier, I was thinking that the GMC Sierra didn't need any updating, looked perfect to me.

    But.....Wow! This looks phenomenal!

IMO - A much better executed update than the Silverado.

With the new slot at the top of the grille, I can see an after market KITT scanning light.

Out of the three pictured, the this model with the chrome bumper is my favorite.

Ah, geez-us! GM really needs to get rid of Stevie Wonder and Helen Keller as designers…..Tom Peters needs to go too. Looks worse than the Sierra did before but I could see how this would appeal to a 20 something year old kid that never owned a truck, wouldn’t own a truck, doesn’t like trucks and wouldn’t be able to afford a $50,000 truck anytime soon. Nice work GM……keep alienating your core fans/buyers

I agree. If you're spending the extra money for the Denali, or upper trim package with the floor console, the console/floor shifter should be standard.

Just curious, what truck do you drive?

IMO, Once again Sierra trumps Silverado design. You DO know that these designs are shown to dozens of real truck owners before the design is locked in...right?

I am guessing that one is an SLT, not a base model.

Nice to see the GMC still looks better than the Chevy. Not that the Chevy looks at all bad, quite the opposite, actually.

Heck, I loved the trucks before the facelift (Yes, they did grow on me a lot. And yes, I do realize I'm eating Crow by making that statement)
