    and what vehicles do you want to work on? and to what level IE module reprogram ?? OR "basic" diagnostics

    Buy a cheap code reader and use the internet! Unless you're doing repairs for a living, this is very sufficient.

    Cheap code reader for the win. I think I paid 60 for one on Amazon with benefit of also pulling ABS and BCM codes in addition to typical PCM codes. Also tells me if the vehicle will pass OBD2 emissions tests, helpful when you have a couple of less than stock vehicles.
