Walkinshaw Performance has released the W310 performance package for the all-new Holden VF Commodore SS.

The first enhancement package developed for the VF Commodore by the Melbourne-based Holden tuner and the first in the new ‘W Series’ of upgrades, the W310 pack combines a host of mechanical enhancements to boost the 6.0-litre V8’s output from 270kW/530Nm to 310kW/580Nm.

Included in the VF Commodore SS W310 pack are Walkinshaw ceramic-coated headers, high-flow catalytic converters, a Walkinshaw stainless steel cat black exhaust system, Walkinshaw cold air intake, a custom ECU calibration and a W310 build plate and rear deck-lid badging. (The wrapped carbonfibre-look bonnet and bootlid spoiler are not part of the package.)

Sorry, but I don't "get" the black hood. How do you make a brand new car look used?

This. Every time I see that I think of cars with mismatched panels that were pulled off scrapped cars.

That's kind of what they are going for. Most race cars have fiberglass, or carbon fiber now, hoods and they tend to not be painted. Hell, out of my three friends that have aftermarket glass hoods, none of them are painted and still have the regular black primer on it.

$6500? Could get 310kW at the wheels for that!

The Carbon fibre wrapped bonnet ( hood ) isn't part of the pack. It was just for show.

Meanwhile heres a little video of the W310 car

As I posted else where, just another example of WPS over branded, over priced, under performing rubbish!

The only thing I did like about the carbon wrap was the Walkinshaw logo in the centre of the bonnet. I'd have to see it in real life to make a proper judgement though.
Not saying I hate it entirely, but just don't love it either.

**edit - "Wilkinshaw". Way to typo in the headline, idiot.
Haven't seen this on GMI yet, a update to the walkinshaw range, on caradvice
    http://www.caradvice.com.au/255720/w...hsv-unleashed/

Holden/HSV tuner Walkinshaw Performance has launched its first supercharged packages for the VF Commodore and Gen-F, offering peak outputs just shy of 500kW and 1000Nm.

The Walkinshaw W457 package boosts output of the Holden Commodore’s 6.0-litre V8 from 270kW/530Nm to 457kW/780Nm (bettering the production HSV GTS), while the W497 package elevates HSV’s 6.2-litre V8 from 317kW/550Nm to an almighty 497kW/955Nm.

Both supercharged W457 and W497 packages cost $18,990 and are available across sedan, wagon and ute body styles, meaning they can be had from as little as $57,980 as a ready-to-drive SS Ute and $77,980 as an HSV Maloo.

    Holy Moly.

That translates to 666 Horsepower for the 6.2 GTS upgrade.
Now or never, GM. Give Holden good RHD cars, or give Holden to someone who will.

echoing whats been said above, I really like the wheels! hood wrap is a little bit too "boy racer" for me but not unattractive. IMO
