Nice, but... Can anyone explain the twin hood/roof striping craze going on at Holden?

Yeah? Not sure about the stripes on this but they need to get this released ASAP along with Malibu it feels like forever since they announced Malibu.

I wish they would be consistent with their model names. Just when we get used to CD, CDX and SRi, they go American and add LTZ ? I assume that means the Trax will be LT and LTZ instead of CD and CDX

I remember when the upmarket model was just called the Holden Special!

Now it seems alot of GM just comes across as a bit 'Special'.

The difference is fairly subtle, but I find that the front clip on Holdens almost always trumps the split grille of Chevrolet models.

What about reverting to Belmont, Kingswood, Premier (for the regular vehicle), and Brougham for the LWB

That could be a good way to do it if they used CD, CDX AND SRi on the sedan/hatch etc besides Commodore and Cross overs and Comercial vehicles use the LT/LTX Nomenclature.
Also I wonder when Trax will be released as Opel have announced the Mokka will be released in September which is around 3 months earlier than expected, I therefore assume Trax will be priced below the Opel cousin?

Fridays Telegraph had a short story on Trax, prices to but cant remember of top of my head but the holden is $2000 less then the Opel, i think it was 26K for the Opel and 24K for Holden

It's on the side of the shifter

I have no idea whats wrong with the + and - gate next to the shifter like they used to do but it's disappearing from some GM models

Most likely some beancounter decided it was a bright idea to ditch it

Who needs to change gears anyway

I played with the rocker switch in the Barina CDX. I works as well as the shift gate style. It's just a button really.
