    Bathurst 2012

**Edit, Due to popular demand Race will now be shown live streamed to overseas fans **

As we prepare for the greatest race in tin tops around the world i thought a few videos would be in order

Brock in '91 back in a Holden after a brief stint with Ford and BMW

Balls to the wall not a pretty lap but wow!!

Brock in the wet in '87

In interviews afterwards he allways said he took what everyone else would say was a disadvantage or a worry and turn it into a challenge

ie wet track and slicks LOL

One of my nephews has bought a couple of ex racing cars which will be in the demonstration lap. I haven't found out exactly which vehicles they are but I think one in an AU Falcon.

Davison got pole position. It was good lap at 2:08:0693 against even if it was slower than Lownde's 2010 record of 2:06:8012.

    Re: Bathurst 2012

I noticed that when they show footage of Brock's car they blur out the Marlboro signage.

What an insult to our intelligence . That is history and you cannot change history. If they want to stop some sponsorship going forward that's fair enough but don't try and hide the car as it was at the time.

I am a Holden man but I think Frosty might win this one.

    It's just stupid isnt it?

As if kids are going to suddenly have the urge to light up a Marlboro based on seeing vision of a packet colour scheme that no longer exists LOL

The kids might not but it has led to people calling the 888 car the Malboro car which is not a good thing. Whether it is silly or not I have to ask why they didn't also blur the huge Winfield ad too.

Or, alternatively, someone who smokes is going to be like "Well goddamn, they blurred that so I think I'm gonna quit."

This is the one V8 race that I make every attempt to watch.
