Hardly an in-depth review but gives some hints of the future smack downs OS.

No performance figures but the 300 is a lard arse and needs every one of those extra horses to overcome that and a 5 speed auto

SS hands down winner here and no surprise

You would have to be pretty much a Mopar fan to spend an extra 10 grand

Why does the holden SSV look better than our recently imported Chevy SS?

Looks better than the SRT 300 too. Thanks for posting up..

It's all the colour, gloss black accents and nicer looking alloys. The forged wheels on the SS is one of the weaker styles. Plus a decent shot of the Holden... it's a damn good shot.

Because silver sucks the life out of every single design element of that car.

Here in the states, the price advantage the SS-V has over the SRT8 will be gone, and it will be a much tougher battle to wage once the SS is down some 60hp to the big LX car.

You really need to see the new SS in person, it has a body that just doesn't photograph well and looks great and quite bold in person.

Thanks for posting. It is interesting to see how the 300 SRT8 (Core) stacks up against its competition outside the U.S. Although I have never driven either car, based on what I have read about the SS-V, not to mention how it looks, my preference is the SS-V... hands down. That orange is fantastic, too!

I don't really understand your point here. Firstly, I doubt you would have a problem with an Cadillac ATS being compared to an E Class. The price differential is about the same. Secondly, the Commodore has not won all of the comparisons. It lost to the Mazda 6 wagon and did not exactly thrash the Merc. Thirdly, what is wrong with aspiring to something better ?

damn that's a great shot....usually it looks so so in the silver color, but that shot does it some justice.

Agree, but the SS has the 6.2 and paddles over the SS-V. I am assuming the 60hp figure is against the 6.2? It, like everything, will just come down to personal preferences. Some will prefer the SS, some the SRT8. As it should be I guess.
