    2018 HSV/Walkinshaw Colorado: HSV’s new ute exposed

What you’re looking at here is the beefed up Holden Colorado that will wear an HSV or Walkinshaw badge from 2018.

Trademark images submitted by HSV were exclusively sourced by CarAdvice to build these renders, which indicate that the HSV Colorado will be a big cosmetic step up from the current version offered by Holden.

While HSV is likely to stick with the Colorado nameplate, it could also potentially use a new name, with Walkinshaw Performance having also registered the ‘Walkinshaw Armoured 4×4’ name.

The HSV Colorado range is likely to be offered with two variants – an off-road skewed variant with bigger tyres and wheels and an on-road variant that skews towards performance and handling.

Yes, as far as I know Ryan Walkinshaw is still in charge...

Re: 2018 HSV/Walkinshaw Colorado: HSV’s new ute exposed

Once upon a time, HSV prided itself on being a tuner first, stylist second. Apart from the god-awful SV1800 Astra and the HSV Jackaroo, pretty much all HSV's have had better performance than the donor car.

Looks like they are reduced to producing the successor to the Vacationer...

Some reports have them not being HSV any longer but Walkinshaw

it looks like the HSV name will be retired once that last fire breathing V8 leaves clayton

My brother has a Clubsport on order. Apparently they have significant supplier delivery issues at the moment. His car was meant to be delivered early May, now slated for late July or early August.

I'm surprised Holden and HSV can get anything from suppliers - most of them are either working on their replacement income stream or shutting up shop.

that might be the case i know a lot of HSV owners i know are not going to buy another one after theres no more V8's.
WP already do an offroad an onroad package for the Colorado so this looks like the next step for them.
These will be no different to a LTZ or Z-71 with a lift kit and some added plastic bits.
Was interested to see Harrop have now moved into the 4x4 and are doing ecu re calibrations and are quoting gains of 15-20% power and 20-30% torque over standard.
HSV are going from offering unique vehicles you can't buy anywhere else to now trying to fit into the off road market with a lots of competitiors so of which have been around longer then HSV has. I think they are going find people wont be knocking their doors down like they are now specially when their local off road shop will probably offer the same mods (except for the plastic bits) for less I'm betting since it's WP things will be massively over priced like a lot of their other products.

    Agreed

Lots of guys go to Ironman over ARB for the same reason

There are plenty of aftermarket quality suppliers or Bullbars , Rock slider and brushbars and most guys would rather get a quality aftermarket lift done with kings springs and dobinson lift

If WP charge more than say 4-5k for the lift , springs and bullbar they are way off the mark that most will spend
