    2018 Holden Commodore Sportwagon spied

The car expected to morph into the next-generation Holden Commodore Sportwagon has been spied undergoing final testing in Europe, ahead of a likely Australian launch in early 2018.

This successor to the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer — the Insignia will almost certainly form the basis of the next, fully imported Commodore in all its body styles — is expected to make its proper world premiere at the Geneva motor show in March next year.

Pity that side view isn't the actual shape of the rear. I was starting to think that it may be actually able to carry a decent size load.

    Probably like this:

Looks way more like an A7 than a wagon.

    Nope. Not even close.

It is a proper wagon, significantly roomier than the outgoing model and much lighter.

Doesn't look like a proper wagon from the other photos. The "probably like this' photo looks correct to me and that is like saying a Jensen Interceptor was a wagon. My wagon has over 2500litre capacity with the rear seat down.

Look at the pictures, there's not much room for interpretation.

I don't need to look at the pictures to know what it looks like.

BTW, here is a better angle.

That looks more like a hatchback than a wagon

At any rate i'm more inclined to believe GolfBravo as he's actually seen the car

Actually looks OK - the slope of the rear glass is not that dissimilar to the current wagon. Does it work as a 7 seater ?

AWD might make it interesting but the biggest issue is still wrong wheel drive. Once I've loaded it up with the holiday luggage, my Jayco camper better weigh less than about 500kg...

... Which leaves me with only an SUV if I want to tow anything.

It's about the same as the current car. Audi A4 and Passat wagon look ultra boring compared to this. Very sharp looking.

Passat currently looks like they ran out of ideas. What's up with the front end? It looks like a Gillette Mach 3.

A4 looks better but some trims are extra snoozeworthy.
