    Tokyo 2013: Toyota Noah, Voxy Concepts

    Toyota’s Tokyo-Bound Noah and Voxy are Concepts for Next-Gen Spacious Minivans
    NOVEMBER 05, 2013
    Carscoops

    Concepts only by name, on the looks of it, the Noah and Voxy models are what Toyota calls “next-generation spacious minivans that provide the roomy interior needed by families and integrate higher levels of fun, utility and fuel economy.”

    They feature a low-floor design, aimed at maximizing interior space to the extreme, giving all of the seven theoretical passengers lots of vertical room to… wave their arms around freely.

    As you’d expect, the seating arrangement/layout is customizable, and it needs to be, for the kind of role these two vehicles are expected to fulfill.

    Same car, but different names for the "trim levels". Toyota does what the Big3 use to do in the 60s/70s for Japan.

    Noah=Voxy
    Alphard=Vellfire

    and so on.

    These are a common in Japan, and you will know why when you visit. The name Noah is appropriate, as in "no room for it on the ark, Noah."

    Voxy looks like a cross between a Renault Trafic and a Lexus IS, with a little Chevy thrown in on the upper front fascia.

    NOT PRETTY.

    These are designed to meet the tastes of Japanese consumers, the looks of these minivans are inline with others in the segment.

    GM easily produces much worse cars than this (i.e. the Chevrolet Tavera), and I wouldn't even know the Tavera existed had it not been listed along with Chevy's other products on Wiki.

    You can find it in my GM global sales numbers every quarter.

    The Tavera looks the way it does due to Isuzu. Its a rebadge of the Crosswind/Panther that is sold in SE Asia.
