    Geneva 2014: 2015 Ford Focus

2015 Ford Focus Facelift Gets a Fusion Face – First Photos
    FEBRUARY 22, 2014
    Carscoops

We suspected Ford was going to give the Focus an Aston Martin-type grille for its mid-life facelift when we saw spy photos of the car, and it turns out we were right. Ford’s global C-segment car has been unofficially revealed in a set of photos that came up online, with the most striking styling change being the new face which reminds of the Ford Fusion (or Mondeo as it is known in Europe).

Just like the mid-size sedan and the facelifted Fiesta, the restyled Focus gets an Aston-esque grille (previously reserved to the Focus Electric and Focus ST) and a pair of slimmer, longer headlights, together with a creased bonnet.

The cars in the photos (the five-door hatchback and the Turnier estate) also feature smoked headlights and taillights, but we’re not sure whether this will be a standard feature or it will be reserved to top-spec models.

Looks good. The interior center stack looks like it doesn't jut out as much as before. Still no redundant buttons and knobs for radio which I don't like. I also don't like having one stack of controls only on one side of the steering wheel-not a fan of asymmetry.
I will give this a serious look when it comes out since GM doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry to improve the Cruze

Focus rendering looks a million times better than the hideous wide open gaping fish face Ford has stuck on the front of the Fiesta.

Re: Geneva 2014: 2015 Ford Focus

I like it and I like Ford's new face aesthetically, but I do not like how it looks like an Aston Martin front end.

It's America, not Korea. Be creative. Cruze is ugly, but it's not riding anyone else's coattails like this or the Fusion is. Ford has the power to be creative, so do it.

And before the argument that it looks like the Mustang and not an Aston Martin is made... bull****.

I like it. I get the whole Aston front end issues, but still, I think it's a nice improvement to an already good looking car. IMO. I love that hatchback too! Drove an SE poverty spec rental last year, and OMG I couldn't believe how much I liked it! Even with the dual clutch. I still loved it.

It looks great, and the interior isn't nearly as busy

Nope, GM is going to let the Cruze solider on till 2045!
You will do anything to bash the Cruze even knowing it will be updated for 2015/2016. Get your hard-on for any company vehicle but the Cruze and move on already...

I like it a lot, but I hope they make changes to the dual clutch trans to make it smoother. I still think is the best car in the segment.

    I think it's an improvement.

Looks very similar to the Focus EV which I liked better than the standard Focus.

LOL Front end originality 0/10, but it shifting Fusions out the showroom in big numbers at Ford at the moment.

Blame the Aston Martin front end on John Fleming at Ford he is a big James Bond fan.

Fleming green-lighted this, here comes James in his "Mondeo product placement" he reaches for "Sony Ericsson product placement" as he drives into "Dunkin Donuts product placement". Like cars in movies like the Stang in Bullet, but the Bond movie is a storyline written around product placements.

I don't do Bond movies anymore its like one big 2 hour long commercial. Poor old Bond was made drink a crap Stella Artois product placement, he must have been a bit shaken not stirred.

Give us a nice RWD Ford Fusion with Aston Martin type high performance numbers then l might be hooked on the Ford.

Re: Geneva 2014: 2015 Ford Focus

They missed a tremendous opportunity with the updated hatchback's tail lamp design. I think that was probably the worst part of the car's design and it makes the car look frumpy from behind.
With this, they only adjusted it slightly but the overall shape remains. Why not revert back to the previous gen Euro model with the vertical tail lamps?

Can anyone post the recent Cruze spy shots showing the new headlamp shape side- by-side with the new focus? I see some similarities.

Should look great in ST form... anything to compete with that GM? Anything remotely interesting for less than $35k? meh.
