2013 Audi RS6 Avant hauls ass and then some

Holy moly. Despite the fact that Audi first released details on its 2013 RS6 Avant back in December, we're still just as smitten with it now as we were a couple months ago. And why wouldn't we be? This stunning piece of forbidden fruit combines two of our favorite things: fast Audis and useful wagons.

The meat and potatoes behind the RS6 Avant is its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, tuned to crank out 560 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the all-wheel-drive wagon can scoot to 60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 155 mph. Opting for the Dynamic package ups that v-max to 174 mph, and selecting the Dynamic Plus pack increases that even further to 190 mph.

That is a nice looking wagon with great specs. Caddy please don't kill the cts v wagon! Take this as a challenge.

Very sweet wagon. Nice to see a manufacturer continue to offer something like this, despite defying all logic. Hopefully, GM recognizes that a vehicle like this can provide a halo of sorts, and they rethink axing the CTS-V wagon.

I just wish Audi would move on from those headlight-mounted LED strips that they pioneered.

That look is very much PLAYED.

Yup, GM now MUST come back with a 600 hp CTS-V wagon in 2015. Oh, and while you're at it, offer an LT-1 powered wagon so a fella like me (and my pocket book)can enjoy it!

I much prefer the C5, and C6 RS6 Avant especially the C6 with the 5.0 TFSI V10 that did not come to the US market.
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

The E63 Wagon AMG 4MATIC will take care of this handily.

I'm on mgescuros page with this one. I'm over the Audi wagons. The new E looks worlds better.

I agree. Audi needs a new look.

They have done this one to death...
