Renault’s KWID concept today had its global debut at the ongoing Auto Expo 2014. The KWID concept was designed with inputs from Renault Design India and is covered by the ‘Explore’ petal of Renault’s lifecycle-based design strategy.

The KWID is Renault’s commitment to new markets, such as India. The KWID measures 1,940 mm wide and 3,620 mm in length.

The KWID is also Z.E ready – being pre-disposed to receive batteries for electric use – and comes with a charging plug behind the Renault logo. The KWID is powered by the latest-generation downsized 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, mated to a dual-clutch transmission.

I really liked the power strip and cord showing at the inside of the left rear wheel.

The interior looks like the interior of the alien ship form Independence day.

What is happening to the GM that grew up with for these many decades? If I could I would institute a hostile take over and kick the entire board and executives out and fill the positions with creative minds under the age of 35.

They got that Flying Companion idea from Volkswagen.

A few years ago, the VW design studio in California created a similar idea for a Dakar Rally vehicle concept for the Design Challenge at the LA Auto Show.
