I don't really like VW's new headlight and tail light treatments. I like the rest of the car, but it's pretty much the same as the three doors of a decade ago (which I've always liked).

hmm VW is definitely doing down hill in the design department. Those taillights are very cheap looking, as is the black headlight surround. And what's with those flannel print seats? No wonder VW is in trouble.

Really? I thought it was due to executives using company funds to pay for exotic vacations, prostitution, and Viagra. Then again, with the leadership off in the Mediterranean for days at a time getting laid... :p

Looks hot..if they have kept the weight down. Whats the engine?

Like the retro seat stitching, reminds me of a classic MkII Golf GTi!!

Hmmm, it doesn't really do anything for me, like some have mentioned, it looks a bit cheap... The flannel/Plaid is interesting, but not something I would opt for.

    I Like....

Looks like it would be more fun to drive then the Golf GTi....actually seems like it took it's place.....small sporty hatchback and low price and 150hp is awesome in an Aveo sized car.....

If this was here...I would buy it over the new golf with 200 hp.....

Sweet. The new Golf-based GTI is supposed to be lighter and more like the original, but this Polo-based GTI would actually be even closer.

It seems weird to have a Golf and Polo GTI, because they don't say "Golf" or "Polo" ... so VW would have two GTI models.

But in $4 gas, this is the type of car that'll sell. This thing would probably cost $17K. Sign me up.

WIth that comment, it's clear you don't get it.

Chevy makes an HHR for you. I'm waiting for GM to make something fun like this to sell in North America. They'll soon need these more than Tahoes and Yukons.

I was never really a fan of the Polo. Looks wierd. How much smaller can you get than the Golf.

LOL the Golf is a mid-size car here

VW alone makes a Polo and Lupo - each a size smaller

Well, its not like the Golf is big by any means. Its a small car. The size of a Mini. The Polo is even smaller, yes I do know this, but I have never been a fan of such tiny cars. Obviously it has good use in Europe, but its jsut not for me. No thanks, I will pass.

Actually the new one is the size of a Focus....Since not from Europe ...my guess is the Polo is more the size of a MINI or Aveo and the Lupo is the size of the Chevy Spark

Mini is more the size of Lupo. The Golf, believe it or not, is quite a bit bigger. For instance, the Mini's rear seat is right against the hatch, where the GOlf has about three feet of cargo length behind the rear seat.
