Some more info about the upcoming BMW 7.

    From another site:

"I was pleased to be one of about 70 people in the "world" this evening to view in person the new G12. Was held at a private home in Coral Gables. Out of respect to BMW, there were no photographs allowed whatsoever, and all phones and cameras where checked at the door.

BMW has really stepped up on this car and it was worth the wait!

I went through four 7 series since 2002 and now this is the one I have been waiting for!

The new 2016 BMW 750 LI (G12) passes any expectation I had! It puts Mercedes S550 to shame. The exterior has an aggressive front and elegant modern rear. Incredible chrome details throughout the car inside on the dash, steering wheel, door and out. The new modern LED headlights are beautiful. It feels like a Bentley or Rolls with a sportier edge.

But what really makes this automobile is the interior with the new highly innovative i-drive that works with hand motion, double panel sunroof that lights up, all new electronics, speakers and a real "mood-light" interior light show throughout the vehicle. (different color selections). When you press the key in the evening, you will see a light on the ground by the car, similar to a "red carpet" in the shape of the number 7. so cool!

You can now charge your phone automatically in the center console wirelessly and when you walk away from the car, the i-drive system will remind you to take your phone. They also have the most advanced NEW drivers assistance programs in the world! If you cross the lane by accident, not only will the steering wheel vibrate to warn you but it will bring the vehicle back on your lane automatically. Just one of many new safety features available.

The leather selection and new color ways are better quality and very refreshing! And my favorite is the new Key that gives you your mileage, gas level and more.

Wait till you see the executive rear package with iPad like control panel, amazing built in foot rests and fold in table. You will be able to stream Netflix on the rear monitors.! The future is finally here.

BMW are truly the innovators and just watch the followers follow!"

I wasn't impressed with the leaked interior and exterior, it looked like an old model. I would love for them to prove me wrong. That said, I might be a bit biased because of the German 3 BMW is my favorite.

Yes, but looks like it was a base model or not the final variant... Who knows.

    tl;dr

New 7 is awesome, CT6 is even less relevant as a 'sub-flagship', CT8 needs to bring the pain. Still sounds like it came from a BMW fan, though.

I have to admit... I no longer have a clear preference for any German brand. Where it was clearly Mercedes > Audi > BMW, the lines are now blurred.

Life is so hard. I agree, though. The leaked pictures sucked. This sort of inspires hope. I want to like the 7, but I really don't.

Love the 2, 3, 5, and the i and X series vehicles. The 7 always sucked to me, so a new one can't come soon enough.

Yes. "It puts Mercedes s550 to shame"
Sounds very intriguing and subjective at the same time.
But anyway, I don't think we should judge it by the leaked photos. They are not the final variants, I guess.

Damn it, I was going to post this! I read it last night lol.

Yeah, the new 7 sounds impressive. I don't know about putting the S to shame, but I think the CT6 will have its hands full...

The price point of the CT6 will keep it relevant. I stop being a 7 series supporter in 2002.

    I have low expectations for the 7-series. It's a bland-driving, bland-looking lump of car.

Key that gives you your mileage, gas level and more.
LOL.. My onstar app already does that for my lowly chevy's.

The big question is, how heavy is it?

The exact reason they had to improve a lot to compete against the S-class. Especially interiorwise. The blind review does describe they improved the interior a lot though. We'll see.

The 7 is rumored to be getting a 4 cylinder 730i, so... there goes any bottom-end cost advantage.

The 7 key is basically an i8 key (I saw a spyshot of it, look for it if you don't believe me), and is basically jewelry for your key ring for everyone else to see.

You have an OnStar app. Cute. I have an app I can use to put my phone up to my face and pretend I have a mustache. Which is more useful?

The new key is sexy, but I'm sure you have an argument against it that absolutely nobody buying a 7, S, or A8 will give half a **** about or buy into.

That's as big as a cell phone. That's absurd!
