I am glad however that they changed those 'peanut' headlights which ruined the look of the previous generation car.
I like the interior.
The exterior, however, is crap.
Seems to me the only reason anyone would buy this over a CTS, G35, or IS350, is the badge on the front.
Exterior is great. Interior is very German/European. I love the gauges (I love all MB gauges!) but other than that, I'd take the 08 CTS interior over this one.
The interior is just an ocean of beige (or gray), with a billion tiny little buttons. How is it any nicer than the current C-class interior? Or the interior of a C-class two generations ago? Every generation is the same: an ocean of Beige (or gray), with a billion tiny little buttons.
Beige dash? Check.
Beige arm rests? Check.
Beige doors? Check.
Beige seats? Check
Beige vents? Check.
Beige seatbelts? Check.
Beige door handles? Check.
Beige gear selector? Check.
Beige carpet? Check.
Beige steering wheel rim? Check.
Beige steering wheel center? Check.
Beige buttons on steering wheel? Check.
50 buttons and three dials on the center stack and steering wheel alone? Check.
Joystick that everyone hates? Check.
Man, if Cadillac did this, there would be no end to the complaints.
Too much palstic on the center console.
I wish Cadillac & Buick would add the phone dial pad on the Radio dials like Europeans..
Meanwhile where is the Dreaded iDrive like interphase???
and eeerrrr... I think BMW will be the main victim of this car. Imports have their followers who will only buy Japan....
Cadillac is the new Gorilla on the Block that everyone would rather not deal with.. but cannot ignore....They just have to rush their products by 2010 to cover most of the under US$60K bases.. in this market globally..
Can GM do it?
This is a beautiful car. However, I still favor the CTS. Am I wrong or is it just preference?
Actually, I though his post made perfect sense. The fact that so many of you are going crazy over this car just reinforces his point.Originally Posted by Kowalski
