Not bad for a refresh. Let's hope it gets more power.
Yep. Optional V8 from the XC90(Yamaha engine) and new V6 engines as well. Turbo and N/A.Originally Posted by FoMoCo Fan
I hope the front end is more stylish then the side view of the headlight suggests. it looks like the last-gen Escort to me. The rest of the car is tasty... I really dig the Volvo 'hips'... with luck the nose is as sharp as the rest.
Looks okay, not "stylish" per se, but not ugly.
Those wheels are ugly~!
Very nice!! I may have to put it back on my list of "next cars to buy."
According to Swedespeed and AutoWeek, the new S80 should have some great engine choices.
2007 BMW 328i. Black sapphire metallic. Terra leather. Poplar wood. Automatic trans. Xenon adaptive headlights. BMW Assist. Bluetooth. Premium package. Heated seats. iDrive navigation system. Rear sonar. Comfort access. LOGIC7 surround sound. Sirius. 18" BMW wheels. Rear spoiler.
2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara Luxury. Black onyx pearl. Beige leather. 4WD. Chrome hood vents, mirror covers, exhaust. Silver grille, taillight trim. Brushed metal bumper protector. Running boards.
Roofline reminds me a bit with the Mercedes CLS and the headlights are Audi A4 esque. But that's OK with me; I like these two cars and I always liked the Volvo S80.
Overall it looks nice and the engine choices are very good. Finally Volvo will have a serious contender against the BMW 5-Series. The new Saab 9-5 better watch out...
Eh, I've never been a fan of Volvo and their styling, it looks boring and outdated. I hope they redesign some cars and put a modern twist.
2007 Chevy HHR LT
2010 Camaro SS
Looks promising, although I again can't help wondering if Ford's rededication to Jaguar and Volvo will hurt Lincoln and Mercury's chances of revival via internal competition.
V6s? What kind? And why was the straight six dropped when the fives have been moaning for retirement? :pOriginally Posted by magneto112
This is looking really nice! It has a sleek and elegant shape that I love. What a change from the original homely S80. I always preferred the S60, but after seeing this, I think the S80 will actually look better when it comes out.
The Recession may be over but the Greatest Depression has only just begun.
