    New Passat

Okay, everyone, **** your heads sideways and enjoy this photo of a new Passat, shot in Grand Blanc. This vehicle is plated in TN as a Manufacturer's vehicle.
I highly doubt that the lady driving it, with toddler in tow, is a VW employee.
Maybe she is the wife of a writer? A GM employee?
    85 cars since 1975....
    Good night and good luck.

    I don't understand what's notable here. Then again I'm a daft man.

    Re: New Passat

I'm seeing them all the time around here now (no surprise). There was a convoy of three that blew by me on I-24 going west last weekend, driving like maniacs. Not sure if they were auto-journalists or visiting Germans mistaking it for the Autobahn. The car looks decent, but I'll tell you, in all honesty... unless you see the side profile first this thing looks almost identical to the Jetta. It certainly wouldn't stand out to the majority of Americans. I only recognize these cars right now because I'm specifically looking for them.

Still, I guess I grudgingly hope the car is a success for my neighbors here working for the company. Otherwise... yawn.

I wasn't sure. This is the first one, caught in the wild, for me.
Fox was supposed to call me when a diesel came in. I wonder if they forgot.

Thanks! Wasn't sure I'd like a white car, but I've grown to love it. I'm 34k miles in and have no regrets!
