Are you guys gonna harp on the black plastic on the center stack?
I think it looks good, but the front end doesn't screem luxury. Too Hyundai/Kia/Opel.
God Bless the Blue Bullet.
Escalade/Navigator slayer . . . I am a sucker for that three points star.
Overall I like it. Especially in black.
The greenhouse looks like it came off of a Jeep.
It comes off looking like an ML-class mixed with a Grand Cherokee.
The steering wheel is very ugly, but I could live with the whole package.
I'lll agree with that, its looks like a hyundai Tucon.Originally Posted by AdmiralViscen
Yeah. The M is amazing, R is subjetive, this is plain-jane. Looks almost GX too.
the threepoint star will do that for it.Originally Posted by AdmiralViscen
The interior reminds me a bit of the Envoy's, I think the vents do that. Is this supposed to be an Escalade/Navigator competitior?
I am sorry, but anyone that is "dismissing" the Escalade interior, better be hating this one too, it looks like an Envoy with wood, and the exterior looks like a Grand Cherokee and ML had babies...yuk. I liked the previous G better, at least it had substance.
I think it looks very nice.

Wow, from the A pillar on it looks kinda weird...but nice. The interior looks like it was stolen from the M class...and that interior reminds me of another car...I just can't put my finger on it.

Because that black plastic is 1) black (not grey like in GM), 2) doesn't extend the full length of the center stack like every single other GM car.
THe half wood effect is interesting. They pull it off better than XLR does.
The wood looks more robust and the swatches of aluminum are a nice touch.
Still.. it's a bit generic. I miss the old G-class already.
Better than Escalade? I can't say for sure without being in both. But the wood looks richer on the Mercedes. But it's a snoozer. But it's not like the Escalade is a shot of caffeine either.
