Wow, the interior looks horrible in that color....

I am still not a fan of the Hood Bulge (it ruins the flow of the vehicle), the color of the wheels (gunmetal as it appears), or the CF roof (or so it appears)

I can say that the 3-series do not photograph well at all, they are something that needs to be seen in person, especially the Coupes. It will probably be one menacing vehicle when it is seen on the roads, I can't wait until I get to see it in person.

With the large exception of the hood scoop, I like it better than the E46...looks more sophisticated, less boy racer. But I can't get excited until I see how much weight it is or is not going to gain. BTW, those times are only slightly quicker than the 335i.

wow, I didn't even notice that. That is another thing to add to the "don't like list"

I think my problem with the CF is the fact that it seems so boy-racer. I see it more on the ****ty "souped-up" pieces of crap that are rolling around in my area than I see on vehicles that are actually performance oriented.

oh well, the interior CF accents are probably optional as it is. (boy do I hope!)

It would be interesting if BMW actually had a poll among its customers/owners on little things such as the use of un-painted CF, and other "sporty" accents of the like.

I'm not impressed. The hood bulge is gross. And this car just doesn't seem to have the menacing stance that the last generation had. O well.

Wow the interior screams "I WAS DESIGNED BY CHRYSLER!".

Can't they just paint the damn roof? I hate that on the M6 and I hate it even more on this car.

I don't know why you guys hate this car, its much better looking than the sedan which looks really outdated.

Isn't the CF roof supposed to save weight? Anything they can do to prevent this thing from being porky is fine with me. Weight stifles the fun to drive factor more than anything else..

4.8s to 60? didn't the 335 make it there in like 4.9? very disappointed if this is so.

I don't like it. The wart on the hood is distracting and I find the view from the side plain and boring, and the trunk lid is too short for the overall design. But that might just be due to the way the lines flow at the back.

The interior is, well, teutonic -- boring. But I wasn't expecting anything else, especially after seeing the 5 series and that interior.

I know, I was expecting low 4s. The LS2 with the Z51 package can hit 4.0 consistently with 400hp. Guess this no torque wonder can't even consistently beat a Mustang GT by more than a car length.

More information at Autoweek (I found reading the reactions on the M3 site)
    http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl...024/LATESTNEWS

    A 4.0 liter V8
"With 420 hp at 8300 rpm, the new V8 delivers 77 hp more than its predecessor, while torque is up 26 lb-ft to 295 lb-ft at 3900 rpm"

"The production coupe shown here is the first of four M3 variants. A convertible, sedan and wagon also are in the works, the convertible fitted with a folding aluminum hard top"

That interior looks incredibly cheap and there seems to be a lack of performance. While I love all previous generations of M3 I'm not a fan at all of the E92.
