Their review wasn't much different from any of the countless past reviews I've read from the usual rags........still the same old schlock

With a vehicle that looks that awesome, I think any other faults can be ignored.

Over on www.germancarzone, we have a bunch of BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG reviews from American, British and German publications and they all seem to praise the driving dynamics of the C63 AMG while complaining that the M3 has gotten "too soft".

I bought the latest Autobild today and they said the same thing. What has the world come to?

There are a bunch of reviews up on the VWvortex forum (including several European reviews) and almost every single one of them is negative. I think BMW dropped the ball on this new car.

BMW has been getting some negative press on all of its M cars. The M5, M6 and the M coupe seem to lose every comparo they've been in recently, and complaints usually center around lack of steering feel and excessive understeer, which is interesting because BMW usually gets those things right in its regular cars. In fact, in the latest Car and Driver "Lightning Lap" the editors were shocked that the 335i was faster and handled better on the track than the M coupe.

The only arguments with the M, well BMW in generally, is their styling now. I absolutly LOVED the most recent M3...it was perfection. However I cant stand what they are doing with their look, the curves, the angles, it is too busy and lacks the bold agressive stance that I felt BMW had always displayed. In addition, I dont care for their interiors either..I dont like the way the center stack just abruptly ends at the bottom, nor do I like how much of a shelf the entire dash appears to be.

I wonder, the V8 is nice, but was it really necessary?

That and competition from Audi and MB kinda forced BMW to up the power on the M cars.
