What’s even bigger news though is BMW’s return of turbocharging. While the standard 328i Coupe is powered by a 230-horsepower version of the magnesium/aluminum composite 3.0-liter six found in the sedans and wagons, the top-dog 335i uses two turbochargers to pump out 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. This engine puts the 335i close to the outgoing M3’s power output, and simply outcranks it in the torque department. Mwerks recently spent some time with the new 335i, a car that will certainly make its mark on the automotive map.
