Fiat Bravo Official Pics & Info

Every news outfit out there has a story on this today. Rather than post all the stories, I'm just putting up the links and some pics. But what do you guys think? I think it look nice and seems like a sound product. I hope that this fuels some growth for Fiat Group and that the platform serves Lancia (new Delta) and Alfa (new 149) well and makes each distinctive.

The interior is awful, what a disappointment coming from Fiat. Everything was on the right track with Grande Punto and Croma, and now that - not only si the design awful, but also the material choice questionable at least. Even the Stilo's looked better and more coherent.

On the outside, we've seen it all before - it's obviously "overdesigned" compared to the perfect Punto, I can't understand why Fiat insisted on making so many details look weird, and on the ascending beltline... The car is surely nice, but it's not bellissimo like I would expect from Fiat...

Not really, given the Linea rides on the Grande Punto platform, all things big and small (and the width of the body) would suggest the GP dash. WorldCarFans provides some initial design sketches of the Bravo interior, btw, and it seems the starting point was a "more senior GP", and it was quite nice, but seems like somebody was too clever...

It seems that outside of the plans for the current car, Fiat is already planning an update for 2010 -- apparently the folks in Torino don't want to sit on their laurels and let the car grow stale as they did for the last generation Punto.

So we will see a wagon and Abarth version sometime around '10:

Originally the Multiwagon was to debut next year, so I guess there is some delay. The facelift, and an interior redo, can't come soon enough - there is so much to correct I will be impatiently looking forward to it...

What do You expect from Fiat? Have they ever done a nice looking interior in a Fiat-badged car? Even the recent Punto interior looks chintzy so I am not surprised. But what I am surprised about is how Punto looks on the outside. It's really a good looking car.I wish all the house-wifes in Europe changed their Corollas to new Bravos.Unfortunately Fiat's perception is terrible and Toileta 'quality-propaganda' too strong

Lotsa times. The new Punto ranks among the best-designed interiors ever, actually the previous Bravo/Brava/Marea had a very nice interior (and yes, it was of rather reasonable quality for that time), the Croma is very nice, and the new 500 is really stylish. Actually even in the 1970s and 1980s, when car interiors could hardly be said to be designed, Fiat has not totally let go and infused some style into those bits of plastic they were putting in there.

This is one big letdown from Fiat, though I guess it isn't that bad - I don't see it panned in reviews.

Looks nice in my opinion, the only thing I don't like is the split bumper.
