    BMW 8-Series Golden Thunder Edition

    https://www.carscoops.com/2020/06/bm...the-statement/

One guy mentionned it reminds him of the Mercury Capri II "S" edition but lots of others had remeniscences of Bandit's Trans-Am. All it need is a screaming chicken design on the hood to look more like Bandit's car.

I had a 1995 Bonneville SLE in that same color combo. Loved that car...some of the most comfortable seats ever!
I wish they all could be California squirrels!
Past Rides: 2003 Grand Am GT1 (saved me), 1995 Bonneville SLE (RIP), 1986 635 CSi, 1984 Estate Wagon, 1978 Malibu Classic, 1978 Corvette, 1975 Vega Kammback (Miss ya'), 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger (STFU...it got me there!)

That's a switch, usually lower end cars try to emulate high end makes. This looks like the reverse where BMW is taking their top of the line vehicle and trying to emulate a Trans Am with the gold package. Interesting and well done, but not the kind of thing that I'm looking for when I buy a six figure car.

In my world the BMW 8 Series is one of the lower ends model and the Trans Am is one of the higher end ones.

One of my favorite cars of all time is a mid to late 80's Trans Am, black with the gold rims and accents. That was a sweet looking machine!

Though I do have to say, after driving one last year, the M8 is one seriously good vehicle!

I drove one too and while it made all the right noises and it's acceleration made me giggle like a school girl; I walked away from it not feeling like I needed one in my life, but maybe I just have no soul.

Just head on down to your local KIA dealer. He can fix ya up. You can thank me later!

There is something to be said for having a few flaws to make a vehicle more engaging. My '89 Cavalier Z24 was chock full of flaws (crap quality, severely misaligned interior, squeaks and rattles galore), but with all that it was fun!

The M8's biggest flaw is it has no flaws.

I wish Caddy would build a large coupe again. They could call it Eldorado
