I've thought that Audi is moving in a somewhat sportier direction, and this is more of that. Just an observation, not saying it's good or bad. I wonder they they just won't sell a S8L as BMW/Alpina does with the B7 or Mercedes with the S63 AMG. Lower volume may be, but then how does Jaguar justify the LWB supercharged XJs? Nice car, though I'd love to see the A6's nose on this thing. Much prefer the S-Class.

The S8 is a ****ing beast. This is too. 4.0 is about as quick as a 63, while the S8 is about as fast as the RS7.

This is what I'm expecting CT6 to perform at least as well as, maybe a bit slower with the 3.0TT. Vsport I expect to be at least as quick as the S8, or why bother...

Won't the CT6 be about the same weight as a comparable CTS? Because comparing a CT6 3.0TT to a CTS Vsport, the latter would have more power and torque and isn't as quick as an A8L 4.0T. But I guess we'll see.

Even in a 0-130 the Audi remains ahead of a CTS Vsport:

But to be fair to Cadillac, I'll wait to see what the supposed V-8 will bring. Plus (pun intended), the S8 Plus says hey. The "regular" S8 already is long gone: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...s8-test-review.

AWD makes a big difference in acceleration

Certainly, but if they were otherwise fairly equally we'd see a nicely narrowed gap at high speeds, which we simply don't. The same half-second difference exists at 60 and 130. Maybe at the very highest of speeds the difference closes, but point being at any realistic speed the CT6 will weigh roughly about as much as the CTS Vsport but have less power, less torque. Hopefully my logic is flawed, but either way it doesn't much matter. As I mentioned earlier, we have to wait for the V-8 anyway at which point there will be a fairer comparison.

I'm saying that the 3.0TT will probably lag the 4.0 in performance, but the CT6 Vsport I expect to match the S8.

We've heard 580-600+hp for the TTV8 in the Vsport.

We've heard about couple of engines that were supposed to come for Cadillac in last decade or so..eventually there will be some new v8 engine for Cadillac (i hope).
