    All-new Porsche Boxster "more dramatic"

The new Porsche Boxster has hit the road, and autoexpress.co.uk has the clearest pictures yet. As our images show, every body panel is new and it now has a bolder, more dramatic profile. At the rear, there are new LED equipped brake lights that wrap around the tail.

According to sources close to the project, the cabin gets inspiration from the new 911 - meaning clearer instruments and a boost in quality. There are also bigger roll over hoops, and a more steeply raked windscreen - helping exaggerate this car's "roadster" status.

Looks like the tail lamps are sculpted to blend into the trunk spoiler lip...cool!

Re: All-new Porsche Boxster "more dramatic"

I was always a fan of the Boxster (secretly) and its nice to see them continue to improve the brand with a newer sharper model. I also expect this model to step things up a bit performance wise as well and this can only mean one thing, a new Cayman.

Also lighter and more powerful is always a nice touch (base engine rumored to be a turbo flat 4 making 270BHP). I know that some people are going to sit there and say well it has no power because in 2012 you need 300BHP and in 2013 you need 330BHP and in 2014 you need 360BHP.... However I rather have a small power bump and less weight then a big power bump and more weight.

That does look much better. Still has that ugly Porsche front to it, but overall the profile is much less ugly. Now, if they'd only put the proper engine in this instead of the 911 they'd have a car that has the engine in the right spot and handles well while performing amazingly well. And folks moan about GM doing stupid things because car X can't outperform car Y. Sigh.
