    The all-new "not-so-fast" Pagani

Italian automaker Pagani was to begin selling its $1 million, 700 horsepower Huayra supercar in the U.S. later this year but federal safety regulators have said "Not so fast".

    Our tax dollars at work.

Perhaps these safety regs should apply to vehicles sold in quantities greater than 100 per year. How many does Pagani expect to sell here?

I understand the purpose for the regs, but this seems a bit silly. My motorcycles are legal transportation and will always be more dangerous than this car will ever be.

Well, there could be things about this vehicle that pose a threat to other vehicles, such as, for example, unusual lighting that may confuse other drivers.

I still have a problem with cars with doors like this one has, even the great 300Sl. If one rolls how do you get anyone out of it.

Pagani only plans to build 40 Huayras a year, just 5-8 will make it to the U.S. beginning in 2013. Im with you though. I have lived in PA and now live in FL. Both states have made a wearing a helmet on a motor cycle optional, which is fine. But you get fined if you get caught without a seatbelt on. The Huayra didn't make it here because is doesn't have advance airbags, ridiculous.

You sell it like they do an "experimental plane".
Those avoid a lot of regulations.
    85 cars since 1975....
    Good night and good luck.
