    2016 XJ Refresh

Addition of the Autobiography trim, better infotainment system, more safety features, and better headlights highlight the changes. Still my favorite car in the class.

Jaguar has a busy year ahead of it, with an expanded F-Type range and all-new XF already announced for the 2016 model year and now we can add an updated version of the XJ flagship sedan too. As expected, Jaguar’s design team has left the sultry lines of the XJ untouched, though there have been a few tweaks made—including the addition of full LED headlights—to bring the car’s styling into line with the rest of the Jaguar lineup.

Looks like a pretty good MCE. Those headlights are far better than the current ones.

Pretty nice refresh, although there is total badge overload on the back. If I had one the badge work on the left and right of the trunk would definitely have to go.

Many buyers will tick the FOC Badge Delete option on the order form.

It looks good. Unique. I'm still not a fan of the interior, however...

The interior could definitely be better. I'm hoping by the time I'm ready for my next car, they've done something about that.

The interior is definitely it's weak point. The exterior is awesome, it has a very muscular performance look to it unlike some of the other European luxury sedans that are too bland.

I'm afraid I like neither interior or exterior.

The exterior may be muscular but is too simple for a Jag.

I actually like the interior. It has a "warmness" to it that the Germans simply don't offer (all while looking modern at the same time).

Yeah probably. Look at the rear on the Blue car, and the amount of badges is out and out nuts!

    Re: 2016 XJ Refresh

I'm a fan of the interior, although in my brief experience I think the Audi or MB competition has better actual materials. But they're hardly mediocre materials not befitting the price. The exterior I like except for the rear. The blacked out C-pillars and rear lights just never did it for me.

An AWD option for the V-8s would be great. And frankly that's about all it needs at present, along with the announced updates of course.

Side note: With all of the updated and redesigned large sedans, do we have any idea what Lexus is doing with the LS? The big update for 2013 did little to actually keep it competitive. It's surprising how Lexus is just letting it sit, although I've read rumors of a big change coming with the new one.

A lot of people carp about the looks of this car, but a LWB XJ in black looks amazing and imo has aged much better than the Audi A8. They have a black one on Sherlock as a Government car and it totally looked the part. I hope the next one is an evolution of this look, but perhaps with a slightly better resolved rear.

The only Jaguar I would consider(well and the F Type V8). It's just so diferent to everything else in the class.
