    2016 BMW 7 Series

BMW’s Austrian website accidentally revealed an undisguised image of the all new 7 Series on its configurator, according to Autocar UK.

The 7 Series has two new turbocharged 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engines in diesel and not-diesel varieties. There’s also the option of the 750i Xdrive, using a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 with 444bhp.

The 7 Series is launching with a new platform called 35up which will also be featured on the 3, 5, and 6 series.

We saw images of the 2016 7 Series a long time ago, but this look is the best one yet.

The CT6 is really looking quite good now.

CT6 is still boring, just like this. Would you rather buy $90,000 worth of boring or $90,000 worth of name recognition?

if both are 'equally' boring (and largely equal otherwise), I unquestionably would buy the more exclusive one vs. the mainstream job.

CT6 isnot boring with the right color and we still haven't seen the V Sport. Right now, Cadillac for me.

no suprises about your comment. When was the last time you said something positive about Cadillac?

Except the Cadillac won't be priced the same. My understanding is that it should be $10k cheaper. Will that help? Probably not, for many if nt most people the German badge is worth the premium.

Cadillac has said, the CT6 is focused on being a drivers car.. not being their range toper. The CT7 & CT8 are being developed for that role.

"A driver's car" in this segment is a stupid direction. If you want a driver's car, the full size luxury sedan will never suffice compared to real driver's cars. Most of these cars are driven by chauffeurs.

Not in America. Americans drive themselves mostly. Also, BMW's idea for the new 7 was to get it back to being the driver's car of the segment. The two should have very similar driving dynamics. An expressive design would have made CT6 a hit, though. As is, its sales will underwhelm.

So, there are social circles that are impressed with, what to the non-enthusiast, looks like a 3-series entering puberty? There is one car in this class: thee Mercedes S. Even the Audi S8 manages to have more presence than this.
