Ehh...exterior seems to be a step back in design. The bubble-out of the headlights is weird looking..

Interior is nice, but I'm not sure about the "layer" look of the dash.

What is the deal with the two airconditioning vents on each side? That is bugging me.

THey work for me. The outside..something is off about it in certain angles but then looks great in others. From the rear it looks great and very agrressive from the front its just lacking something.

The interior looks like nothing new, just like every other BMW interior (I guess they ran out of IDEAS), but at the same time I like it. THe wood running along the console is nice. I have to question the DVD screen though, where does it go when you aren't using it? And whats up with the "shifter" it looks like a joystick for a computer.

I think in general it will make the car competitive again especially against the MB offering.

I can't see teh pics, but that's probably because of the corporate firewall.

I've seen teh pics on TCC... sorry... BMW needs to put Bangle back in charge of design. And I know I'm in the extreme minority here. But BMW's designs have gone flat, with the introduction of the 3-series. I hate to see teh refresh of the 5 and 7.

Bangle is no longer in charge of design? Since when?

What is his current role if that is the case?

He's still "in charge of design," but he's not the one designing. THey promoted him out of the designer position.

Looks a lot like the current X3. I expected better!

On the other hand I really like the interior.

Interior is nice. Only aspect I see that's nicer than the '07 SRX is the seats, they look much more comfortable, and more luxurious.

The BMW's interior is cleaner than the SRX. The steering wheel looks much better and more original.

What's really interesting though is the shifter... I wonder how it works!

The reason cars exist is that so GM cars and Bugattis exist.
