Nissan man now in charge of Jeep

    From https://www.allpar.com/news/2019/05/...-of-jeep-44771
Fiat Chrysler has appointed a new global leader of Jeep from another company—Nissan.

Christian Meunier worked at Ford, Land Rover, and Mercedes in Europe and the United States before joining Nissan. While at the Japanese automaker, his roles included running the company’s Canadian and Brazilian divisions, being head of sales, marketing, and operations for North America, and being in charge of Infiniti global sales, marketing, and operations. His last role at Nissan was Chairman and Global President for Infiniti Motor Company Limited at Nissan.

Seems then he wasn't long enough at Infiniti to explain its decline, there was other fellows. https://www.allpar.com/forums/thread...ost-1085099427

Christian Meuneir was a top manager of Infiniti only since novembre 2017 and at jead since january 2019.
The predecessor, Roland Krueger, quit Nissan in january and went to Dyson's automotive division.

But they are not alone, Kazuo Yajima, former Renault-Nissan Alliance global director of EV and HEV engineering is now CEO of Qoros Auto (China). Others managers of Nissan / Renault electrical / hybrid vehicles joined chinese companies.

Daniele Schillaci Nissan's Executive Vice President, also in charge of electric vehicles strategy, quit Nissan in april. It was announced that will be the new CEO of Brembo in july.

And there are others, like Trevor Mann chief operating officer at Mitsubishi Motors, Vincent Cobee product strategy always at Mitsubishi
Story's been updated with Meuneir's story. He was apparently pretty effective.

He wasn't in charge of Infiniti long enough to be responsible for all those problems... as MJAB said!

I can see why the Euroguys are leaving Nissan.

Somebody try it and see what happens . So far I don't know whether to feel good bad or indifferent about this move though.

Infiniti has no reason to exist.

It peaked at its launch with the Q45.

Nissan has done well IN Canada the last few years + I do not know what a "global leader" for JEEP would do
I assume other people would do product direction and he would "make them work" in different markets IE options and POSITIONING and some feedback about LOCAL WANTS
OR is he to be on the "ground floor" of the DESIGN and DIRECTION of JEEP? IE if we get the grand wagoneer OR the NEXT Cherokee performance ON and OFF road?

Now we just need a Jeep man at Nissan and it will be like the movie "Freaky Friday" just with two chubby middle aged guys in suits with shoulder pads.
