    Lincoln MKT question.

Hello friends! I was told that for 2018, the MKT was going to get a redo. It was going to be less wagon and more crossover. A little taller and positioned to be an XT7/Enclave fighter. The one i see on Lincolns site looks like a refresh and just more of the same.
    What do you know?
    85 cars since 1975....
    Good night and good luck.

Lincoln Aviator..... You know, that is what i thought would happen, but i don't think that it's big enough for most Lincoln Customers and too close in size to the MKX. It would seem that you'd need to fill a clearly defined slot between the MKX and the Navigator. Like the Traverse does with the new Trailblazer and the Tahoe/Suburban.

    MKT is dead.

Aviator will in essence replace it and slot between the MKX (whatever it'll be named) and Navigator.

Well, that goes back to my original thinking. It didn't make sense to do an "Aviator" AND keep the MKT. I was surprised to see it on the site as a 2018. I had a 2010 that i bought new. It was okay, but it had about ZERO utility in it and most thought it was a Limo. Funny story... When my Daughter got married in 2010, i had to pick up the photographer at the airport. She didn't know that i was the father of the bride and got in the back, as if i was a paid driver. It would be cool to see a 7 passenger Crossover, slotted between the MKX and Navigator (as i previously mentioned).

    Good night and good luck.

Also consider the price spread, MKX starts at just over $38K and the Navigator around $72K

Explorer and MKT are the same size, yes?
Therefore, an Aviator would be same too.

No, MT has a roughly 5" longer wheelbase (117.9") which can give the interior more 2nd or 3rd row room
if laid out properly. An Explorer/Aviator with longer wheelbase will probably show up next generation

Flex and MKT have essentially the same underpinnings.
