Apparently 1,400 people last month didn't think it was boring.

As I've said before, I'm not a GM nor a Ford slappy, so I'll say it here and now that the Navigator being a new design is superior to most every way to the old Escalade, so why the he!! is it failing so bad?

Expedition included here. It's not setting any sales charts afire either. While the sales are posting a huge gain over last year, it's still nowhere close to the GM's sales numbers. Flaw in the slaw somewhere or is GM's domination in this segment similar to what the F150 is in pickup land?
Been said time and time again.

Of course from a one sided point of view one wouldn't even see that.. PERHAPS... the Edge and Escape vs Equinox and Blazer.. literally sold almost IDENTICAL in numbers. The Tahoe.. no.. the 5.5 year old Tahoe, not even adding in the Tahoe XL(Suburban), absolutely clobbered the brand new last year Expy/ExpyMax

As I said in the GM July thread, there was a big factory hold on both the Explorer and Aviator last month, almost all Explorer sales were superseded models while only a dribble of Aviators made it to dealers. Intel was that Explorers and Aviators were being sent to Flat Rock to complete rework but that Ford is now on top of things.

The only up side to this is that Ford is selling down its superseded Explorers faster than expected....

Explorer sales have been Constrained for the last 2-3 years of Old Models. 2020 Versions are being built but only in very specific ways (20" wheels, Trailer Tow, Moon Roofs are Must Takes) and have not arrived at Canadian Dealers Yet, maybe US Dealers also.

It was February, when we had to decide "How Many Explorers would be needed to last until September." Back then they even cut the numbers by 25-30%.

    1. Malibu was the one that we all thought would survive................
    2. Blazer is to a respectable level, but will be interesting to see how this shakes-out.
    3. Considering the Navigator was up 63% last July.......................

    How old is the Escape?

Comparing these two (Chevy/Ford) 1 for 1 is questionable, but OK.

    How old is the F-150?

Production forecast averages right at 36K units a month, July and December about 29K with holiday/shutdown.
