    2018 Lincoln Navigator Debuts

So this is largely just a placeholder thread for now until its debut on Wednesday, but Lincoln posted a teaser shot on their Facebook page, so I wanted to post it in a new thread.

Apparently it'll have an illuminated star in the grille, which I like.

A poster over at FIN also lightened it to give us a clearer look at the new front end:

The headlights are taller (that secondary light below the lights on the concept seems to be integrated into a single assembly now), and the lower grill obviously has different detailing. I actually think I like it better than the concept

At least from this picture, the illuminated logo looks less cheesy than the Mercedes one. Still, I hope it's optional.

Both are longer. The standard Expedition became 4" longer on a 3" longer wheelbase, while the EL became 1" longer on the same wheelbase as before. So the wheelbases will be the same as the Expedition (so 3" longer standard and no change on the L), I'd imagine overall dimensions will be the same (4" and 1") too, but I suppose theres a chance of a minor change between the two (and inch or two possibly)

Not bad so far. Can't look much worse than the current one.

    Re: 2018 Lincoln Navigator Debuts

I actually like the current model. I've liked all of them, really. But I'm anxious to see what Lincoln brings us here. I'm planning on a full-size SUV for my next vehicle so I'm watching this very closely. I like the Escalade as well. I was NOT a fan of the previous generation Escalade - at all...

This is probably the model I am most interested in at NY. The Large Luxury SUV category just keeps getting better and more competitive. That's good for the consumer!

Lincoln keeps pulling me in! The Expedition is cool but kinda looks like a Chevy. Has been better but changed their marketing (too many rappers) then became stale. I dig the real rear folding flat seats and the non-column shifter. Please don't fail in the rear!

    Re: 2018 Lincoln Navigator Debuts

I wasn't a fan of the concept. It looked like a bloated, uglified version of the Range Rover. The concept's interior design theme looked really fantastic, so I hope the production version will look as good or better.

The official Lincoln site still shows the Navigator Concept when you click on "Future Vehicles". I'm thinking that the 2018 Nav is pretty much going to look like the "Concept". It looks pretty much ready to go, production ready. I'm fine with it.

    Not with those gull-wing doors.

That's because they haven't shown the production one yet. We'll see it at midnight tonight.
