Re: Quadrasteer rear position sensor #26091590 help!!!

Were You able to fix the old sensor?

Where can I find the rear actuator for sale? Preferably new.*
Is the actuator*something that can be disasembled, fixed and reasembled?

Are there any Quadra steer parts that can't be found?
I am wanting to buy a quadra steer truck, but want to make sure there are replacment parts available.

    Any info is appreciated!
    Thanks, Chris*

Is this the sensor everyone is looking for?

    Help Please! Quadrasteer stuck

Looking for advice on the best way to fix my Quadrasteer problem on my 2004 GMC Yukon. Several years ago it started malfunctioning. I tried to have it fixed by a mechanic with no luck so I just stopped using it. The other day I lent my Yukon to a friend who must have pressed the quadrasteer button. The rear wheels are stuck in a fully turned position and will not return to straight. I tried all type of things to correct it with no luck. Is there any known manual fix for this? I'd like to get the rear wheels straight again and then pull the fuse on the 4-wheel steer so this doesn't happen again.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer advice.

Re: Quadrasteer rear position sensor #26091590 help!!!

Nobody replied or suggested anything but I thought I'd post my fix here in case anyone else has this problem:
I assume my problem was caused by the bad rear wheel position sensor. I pulled it off and some trapped water came out. I think this happened because just before the problem the Yukon was used to launch a boat and the rear end was submerged in water. I'm guessing the sensor o ring was old, let water in into the sensor which then became faulty and kept telling the back wheels to turn even though they were cranked over all the way to the point they were ocked up. After pulling off the sensor I stuck a 21mm socket up in there and cranked it. As I turned the wrench the wheels turned along with it until I had them straight again. Simple! Now I'll pull the fuse and the power to the module and kiss my Quadrasteer option goodbye.
