Well I said goodbye to my 2014 Chevrolet Malibu 2LT this past Saturday and said hello to my 2014 Chevrolet Impala 2LT. The Malibu was a wonderful vehicle I have zero complaints about it. A month after I purchased the Malibu the wife and I found out we were having our 3rd child we figured the Malibu could hold the 2 booster seats and the one infant car seat. Well we went to check just in case I ever needed to get all 3 kids if the wife was busy and to my surprise we could not. So this past weekend we went to look at Impalas we took all 3 seats to test out and sure enough all fit with some extra room. So with that said I took advantage of the 0% for 72 months with no payments for 90 days. I was upside down $1800 on my trade so my GM Private offer, $800 in GM card earnings, and a $250 new car purchase credit (since I purchased the car at the same dealership) add my GM supplier I did pretty good.
My 1st impressions on the car
-Love the exterior and interior design itís light years over the previous model Impala.
-Car has a more luxurious feel on the inside
-I like the interior ABL itís nicer that my Camaro and Suburban
-Love the push button start (we have it on the Suburban but I donít get to drive that much)
-Interior is on par with my 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe in terms of quality.
-Smooth ride and very quiet interior.
-I am impressed with the safety features (blind side alert, front warning, rear warning systems) we have the same features on the Cadillac and 2015 Suburban.
-Good front and rear leg room
-The 3.6L VVT engine is nice and smooth
-I like the larger trunk space
What I donít like or wish it had.
-HUD I think all vehicles should come with a HUD I love the HUD in my Camaro
-DRLís should come with the 2LT package
-Side moldings are needed the doors are big itís going to be a ding magnet
-Ventilated seats should come standard with the leather interior package.
My former 2014 Malibu 2LT what I liked and disliked.
Loved the exterior IMHO the best looking mid-sized car on the market
Love the interior it looked luxurious IMHO the best looking/layout interior for any of the mid-sized cars on the market.
Being a big guy 6ft and 320 lbs. the car was very comfortable I am not sure why all the negative reviews on this vehicle.
Engine was to loud
MPG was not up to par with other mid-sized vehicles
GM is about $2000k to high for a price point on this vehicle.
Overall I am very happy with the car I wish GM would have allowed 0% for 72 months & 90 days on 2015 Models I would have purchased the 2014 Tahoe 2LT they had on the lot it was very nice.
