Re: So Long 07 Suburban Hello 2015 Suburban

May I ask how your wife feels about the length of the Suburban versus the Tahoe?

I ask because we are going to replace our Malibu in the coming months with a Tahoe... but I want to go with a Suburban. My wife is insistent that the Suburban will be too unwieldy to drive around in the big-box-anchor-store shopping center parking lots. I, on the other hand, believe the extra 18" (IIRC; correct me if I'm wrong) of length that the Suburban provides will come in handy as we do a lot of traveling -- and we hope to add another member to the family within two years (we had outgrown our TrailBlazer when it was just me, my wife, and our dachshund -- forget it now with our 1 year old). She also finds the extra length of the Suburban an aesthetic turn off (I can think of many jokes to go along with that). Nonetheless, with the third row installed, there's no cargo room unless we pile stuff on the roof (which I hate doing).

In her defense, the Tahurban will serve as her daily driver for a non-interstate daily work commute. Keep in mind this is only a debate on the length of the vehicle (and aesthetics to a lesser extent) -- nothing to do with price, mileage, etc.

    Congrats! Looks great.

I have to say though, when I get to buying a new car I'm going to have to tell the dealer not to touch the exterior paint whatsoever. Every Orlando area GM dealer loves pinstripes and dealer badging.

She has no problem he mother has a 2007 Tahoe and she drives that with no issues from time to time and her 07 Suburban as a daily driver she has no issues. the length is no big deal we felt the lack of storage behind the 3rd row on the Tahoe was an issue for us and I know with her parents they have to fold down the 3rd row seats when they need to pick up stuff or hit Costco. But no issues of the Suburban being TOO Big.

Thanks yea this dealership likes pin stripes they had another Suburban exactly the same they were adding stripes to when I picked this one up. They will come off very easy if needed but the wife likes them.

Stock photo of my interior, absolutely gorgeous in mahogany/cocoa! This interior is nicer than my buddy's BMW by a margin!!!!
