the pride of the F14 fleet

The other night I put down deck paint in my Bayliner (ongoing project). Stuff takes forever to dry even with a fan, so I figured I'd move it outside for the day to let the sun and wind hurry it up but my dad poked me to tow it around a bit...since the LeSabre's hitch and wiring were ready to go I said "why not"

I have load adjusting coilover Monroe Sensatracs in the rear and a set of heavy duty TRW springs (springs not yet installed, passenger side is shot). Also have an adjustable height receiver to level things out when primetime comes. I'm mostly waiting on a new impeller housing for the sterndrive of the Bayliner; if you haven't seen my posts on it before I've been working on it all winter, installing new stringers, deck, and interior.

First time hitching the pair together...the 455 tows it rather easily (as expected ). Braking and stability are good too.

Re: the pride of the F14 fleet

I've decided to make an appointment to have my new top professionally installed. I'm supplying all the stuff and was quoted $500.

Took a trip to pick up a quad for my brother in Grand Rapids...getting about 15-16 mpg cruising around 67 mph.

    Inboard? You capitalist!

Nice set up mate. Looks a little heavy on the hitch though.

That was the day when a car was just as capable of towing something as a truck was. Once you get the springs in there it shouldnt go down in the back. I have those springs in both the old cars and they make a huge difference. What these cars came with from the factory is way too soft.

You could always take my approach to the back end sagging out and drop the front. I'm only half joking.

It started out last season: "you know, a boat is like a big convertible, but on water..." "...hey, wouldn't it be sweet..."
