One year of pure awesomeness in the G8 GT!

    Dear Hitman1970,

Happy anniversary and congratulations on your first year of G8 ownership. We're proud to have you in the GM family and confident you've been enjoying your first year on the road. To mark this important milestone, we want to make sure you're taking advantage of all the benefits that are yours as a Pontiac owner.

With all of the changes GM and Pontiac have experienced, we want to assure you that our commitment to you as a Pontiac owner is as strong as ever and encourage you to check out the Pontiac Owner Center for information to help you through this process.

When it comes to protecting your investment, remember to visit your dealer for Goodwrench service. When you do, you can be confident your vehicle is in the hands of Buick-Pontiac-GMC-trained Goodwrench technicians. They know it better than anyone and can help offer the right care at the right time. In addition, we hope you're taking full advantage of all the benefits provided by OnStar®, XM Radio** and GM Card.

Your satisfaction means a lot to us, and we look forward to many happy anniversaries to come.

    Your GM Team

Thanks. It is a great car that I will drive for many years. My current GM points may expire before I am willing to give this one up.

Damn, you got as many miles in one year on your G8 as I have in almost 4 years on my GTO...of course, it's parked 5 months out of the year and is not my everyday car.

If I still lived back in CA, there would be a G8 GXP parked next to my GTO in the garage...but I don't need a second car that would be parked 5 months out of the year.

The G8 is a great car that unfortunately was introduced at the wrong time and given to the wrong division.
    In my garage:

    2006 Pontiac GTO
    2016 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe
    2012 Chevrolet Equinox 1LT
    2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS

    Not even close.

I just got done with five days in 2010 Equinox LT 3.0L renter in Fort Worth. Great vehicle but I am still looking for something for GM to offer that would get me out of G8 GT any time soon. Equinox had lots of bells and whistles and a great interior to boot. Driving dynamics were up there with my previous LaCross CXS. Pretty, quiet, and very competent.

The G8 GT turned the 15,000 mile mark on my way back from Birmingham today. I see 26 MPG on a flat road at 68 MPH regularly. Don't even see a reason to get out of it during a fuel price spike.
