    New Car in the Driveway!

I just got it the other day, a black 2007 Chevy HHR LS. Bare bones, but it's a million times safer and more comfortable than my 1987 GMC Caballero (El Camino)

    I'm excited!

Well, it's currently more wrecked and rusted than in that photo. That was taken November 07. However, if you notice in front of the driver side door, there's a large dent from an F-350 T-boning me after running a red light. No structural damage, entirely cosmetic, however, it's rusting pretty badly right there. It's got a bit more rust around the edges too.

And no, with 177,500 miles, I'm not keeping it. I need room in the driveway and at 21 years old, can't justify an HHR, a Harley, and an El Camino.

Yeah, I suppose. Ditch the hawg

Nice purchase by the way. Perfect for ferrying parts around when you fix up the Caballero.

Welcome to GMI. Both are nice. I think the HHR is a great car. In a few years you will kick yourself for selling the Caballero.

No need to keep the Caballero. I hear GM is bringing out an El Camino replacement called the Pontiac G8 ST. Of course that was last week and things may have changed by now.

Nice HHR. I've always liked the looks and I hear they're sturdy.
It sounded pretty good until I actually said it.

Yep, the G8 ST was nixed on the 6th. I'm bummed about that, but am still selling the beast. With student loans and payments on two vehicles (the Harley and the HHR, both of which are 07's) I can't keep a third vehicle.

I'll buy another when I have the time and money to restore it.
