My new 1959 Pontiac Star Chief Vista (Pictures)

I recently acquired a fine, mostly original 1959 Pontiac Star Chief with 67,000-miles, and enjoyed my first fun outing in the car last Sunday. With aired up tires, fresh gasoline, a new water pump, and some much-needed exercise, the old Pontiac keeps driving better and better!

    Enjoy the photos.

The car came to me with a beautifully-matched set of vintage luggage:

Gold threads in the original carpet:

    Pontiac's accessory reel-out trunk / trouble light:

Original Oregon license plate and the license plate frame from Bowman Pontiac, Oregon City, Oregon:

The beautiful Pontiac shares garage space with my '59 Buick Electra!

All original, except that portions of the car have had some paint touch-up, which was flawlessly blended into the original. The 389 V8 also had a top-end rebuild in 1994 and dual exhausts were added at that time.

I like both of your cars. I have a Buick and a Pontiac myself.

When all I see are red 60's camaros and mustangs,it's a pleasure to see these cars in gorgeous artistic styling. I always liked that big long chrome strip molding on the 59. And please desire more four doors. They are great for cruising some family & friends around.
