I finally decided to pull the trigger on purchasing a replacement for my ailing Grand Am. After driving an assortment of cars (from used C5's and CTS's to new Grand Prix's, G6's, and Cobalts), I found an amazing deal on a black 2008 Cobalt SS Turbo Coupe. Suffice to say, I couldn't be happier with it! (well, in an ideal world, a 2007 Camaro Z28 would be in my driveway, but that doesn't exist! So I digress..)
Features and options:
Limited Slip Differential with the 5 speed manual transmission
Brembo 4-piston fixed front calipers
18" forged wheels with Continental summer performance tires
Low-rise rear spoiler
Red accent interior, with black and red suede-insert sport seats
XM Satellite Radio (big fan already)
And many more!
It drives VERY nicely, has plenty of power (LSD is a must, for anyone thinking of ordering one), excellent brakes. Ergonomically, everything is pretty decent, the only issue I have is my right arm pressing on the seat bolster as i shift into 2/4/R (I'm 5'8", so sitting farther away isn't really an option!). Seats are quite comfortable, leather wrapped steering wheel feels great in the hands. Very impressed with how well it drove, especially for a FWD car.
Without further adieu:
