My 89 GMC Pickup, finally washed

Something I don't do often is wash my winter beater and rarely wax it but yesterday I did the task of washing, waxing and changing the oil. Here are some pics after the detailing. It shows well inside and out with 110K miles, tomorrow I'm taking it in for its yearly oil undercoating. I've owned the truck since 01 and mainly use it in the winter.

Wow. Truck's in nice shape for an '89. That undercoating is working really well for ya. Winter beaters are definitely worth it.

    110K miles = 170K km?

Gotta love those old trucks. That was the body style I fell in love with as a teen. They have come a long way improving the interiors though, haven't they?

Yes the undercoating really helps and yeah 178K kms, could be 278K for all I know. Been used by a few owners and #1 plug fouls bad, mostly on the highway above 65 mph. That's when I go through the oil.

Which engine does it have? Our old 88 Safari kept fouling the number 1 plug every 2 to 3 months. Took it out, cleaned out the oil residue, put it back in, good as new. That thing had 254,000 city km on it. Very hard mileage.

It has the 350 motor, I been doing the #1 plug cleaning for the past 3 years. All the other plugs/cylinders seem fine.
