This is proof that Detroit automobiles need not be regarded as disposable. With some TLC, common sense care, and maintenance when it is needed, most vehicles can last for decades. If the average driver took care of his ride the way a pilot cares for his aircraft the new car market would be a shadow of what it is. But people want something new every few years I guess. I understand that, I trade every 4-5 years. One day when I buy my dream ride though it will be the last car I buy, and I'll take it to the bone yard with me. I envy you this Monte Carlo. I have nothing but good feelings for these cars.
That is one great looking Monte Carlo! That year is one of my all-time favorites for sure. I've owned a few Monte Carlos and have great admiration for them. Like others have said, hold on to it - it may increase in value over time, as the collector market is sometimes slow to catch on to certain vehicles. Just look at the 1963-1965 Buick Riviera - - those are finally catching on and are increasing in value. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, what a beauty! I love the color!
I've always had a thing for early Monte Carlos. They had a certain elegance to them.

Beautiful car, Micah. If you can find a way to keep it, then in my opinion you should.
