Just got me a 1996 Park Avenue!

So my wife and I headed to the local Buick dealer to see about getting a newer (2001) Century or (2003) Impala. While there the saleperson stated that he had a perfect condition 1996 Park Avenue traded in from an "older" customer. I said I didn't want it, but my wife insisted that we look at it. As it turns out, it not only drove like new, it has less wear and tear than my HHR. It didn't make sense not to buy it.

Check out the pictures of the carpet. It almost looks new! You can see the picks at http://www.flickr.com/photos/dsuupr/...7600045197581/

The Park Avenue has the SE pkg, velour interior and base Dynaride suspension.

It has 78,600 miles, and all records included. The previous owner seemed to replace things WAY before needing them. The water pump has been replaced twice because "a noise" was heard. :P

    Now I'm pimpin it.

Buicks had a pretty good rep with those cars too. I know the LeSabre used to get good reviews all the time. Very nice. I knew when I looked at the pics that some old lady had it!

Hey, There is nothing wrong with cars that are stereotyped ''granny cars'' my first car was an old Olds 88. Bullet proof, got me where I wanted to go and back when ever I wanted, and never gave any trouble. By the way, theres nothing granny about a strong V6, with a quality transmission, with adequete power and good luxury.

Looks great! My grandfather used to put towels on the dash, armrest and package tray as well as custom-cut rubber mats on top of the floor mats and carpet. If he was going to work (machine shop) or somewhere it was likely you'd get dirty, he'd put towels on the seats. Every vehicle he's had also got washed all the time and never saw sand or salt if it could be helped. When it came time to sell a car they always looked like new.

Take care of her and enjoy!
