    I've purchased a Mercury!

This is my new daily driver: 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis LS. Body-on-frame, 4.6L V8, REAR WHEEL DRIVE. 98,000 miles, excellent condition. This guy is a pleasure to drive compared to my old DD, a '95 LeSabre.

    More pics to come...

One thing I did like about the Panther. The correct wheels drove the car.

I have no interest in a FWD vehicle ever again...let's see how my first Wisconsin winter goes though.

Congrats, on your beautiful Grand Marquis!

Please keep us posted and let us know if piloting the GM through a torturous Wisconsin winter changes your mind about the utility of RWD. I for one was never perturbed by RWD in the snow, but then again, winters in lower New York are far less severe than Wisconsin.

The police all use Crown Vics in the winter and many people drive Panthers in the snow, they must do pretty good.

Yeah, but in a lot of jurisdictions, many Crown Vics miraculously turn into Tahoes at the first sight of snow.

It should be okay, though. An abundance of skill can make up for a lack of traction.

Thanks for stopping by y'all, I used to drive a Ford Econoline up and down I-43 for work and I only spun out once.

My feeling is: at least I know what RWD will do and how I can correct it.

Hopefully someone can point me in the direction of some Panther experts who can educate me on the best mods to do this summer.
