I was thinking station wagon for some reason. Now you just need some 24" dubs on that thing.
Jeez, it looks brand new!
I remember when Car and Driver tested the '04 LT1 Roadmaster. It would go 104 in 4th, 104 in 3rd, and 102 in 2nd. Said that it hit it's 104 mph speed limiter like a dog hitting the end of it's leash.
This must be one fine long-distance cruiser.
Congrats! The Bonneville wasn't big enough, eh? I have a friend who owns one. He loves the car, but it has been unreliable because of many small problems. I'm sure it will be a great car for you based on the type of vehicles you like. The car looks like it's in great shape, and that color looks great on the Roadmaster.
Nice car GMC. I'm jealous.
Beautiful car man!! I have always had a soft spot for that, the Caprice and the Fleetwood of that time and wouldnt mind having one for myself one day, just to cruis the open road with. Keep it looking good!

GORGEOUS car, bud ... CONGRATULATIONS .
Hope to be able to see it ... and you, of course ... sometime soon . Where in IL did you buy it?

I like that era of Buicks... they did what a Buick was supposed to do. Enjoy! Can't wait to hear a report of the first road trip!
Congrats! Looks like it was well-loved and well-cared for by its previous owner. I love the 4th gear ratio...what kind of highway economy can you get with it? Must be pretty good.

Nice choice! She's in great shape, much better than mine. I love my LT1 but those truck motors were no slouches.
GMC, congratulations on the new car. I've always liked the roadmaster a great deal...from the very first day I saw one on the road. Even though my tastes have changed now, at one point, that car used to be one of my favorite designs. It looked classy back then and it still has that graceful, elegant look now.
Very few miles for a car that's 14 years old and it looks very clean. Enjoy the new ride!

Love that deep maroon color. It kinda looks like a LeSabre on Steroids. Massive door guards. Watch out for the power antenna they are fussy things. They have to be greased but not too much or they get stuck going back down. I always had to clean mine to take the grime off then lightly grease it.
The interior looks very welcoming. That, is a Bench Seat! You can tell they will envelop you and keep you very comfortable on not just long trips but even up to the store.
Nice door handles. I always liked the "Stick" for the Tilt Wheel too over the knob thing they have now... Column shift...sweet. Nice wide armrest/cubby. Much better cup holders then in my LeSabre or Park Ave.
Without even seeing them I am sure there is a cigarette lighter for every seat. Even if you don't smoke then you have a "plug" for gizmos.
I would buy some real quality All-Weather mats for it in the sloppy months.
Real nice car GMCSonoma. Is that 67K I read on the speedo?
EDIT: Just read you posted 51K...
EDIT TOOO: Now I am searching for a Roadmaster. Hmmm...I always wanted one.
Here is one I found through cars.com: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true
It is at Kool Chevrolet in G.R.

Oh Dear Lord, it's got a burgundy interior - now I seriously envy you GMCSonoma. Now, whenever you are annoyed by any of my posts, do know it is all out of my unconstrained envy. That said, didn't the dealer have another one like yours?
PS. Why can't GM just make a car like that, the people who knew how might not all be dead...
Yeah, the horns are sweet. My mother calls my Roadmaster "the train". I've got a little issuse with my horn button though and every once in a while it will randomly blast on it's own at any given time. Sometimes it's a little honk, sometimes it's a thirty second-long air raid warning. I just don't want to screw around with the airbag so I haven't fixed it yet. I think it just gets lonely.Originally Posted by GMCSonoma
