Her first car was a 1992 Oldsmobile 88, which she left in 2009 for a 2004 Dodge Durango.
She bought the Durango with 75,000 miles on it and traded it in last Friday with 102,000 miles. It had begun to nickel and dime her, begging for a new part every month, most recently, it had developed a nasty engine sound and a belt squeal. The engine sound was narrowed down to cylinder lifters or a vacuum hose/pump.
After searching for a replacement vehicle she narrowed it down to a 2010 or newer Equinox or a Lambda vehicle. She wanted a V6 Equinox because the difference between her V8 and a 4 cylinder was too great and she didn't like the power difference. In our neck of the woods, a decently priced V6 Equinox was too hard to come by, so the Lambda vehicles came to the front of the pack. The Traverse was out from the beginning, but she did like the Acadia and Enclave.
After searching for weeks, our dealer was able to locate a former lease vehicle that was very well maintained. Last Friday she picked up her 2010 Buick Enclave CXL AWD. It is Quicksilver Metallic with the Titanium and Dark Gray interior. It has a sunroof and moonroof, with full leather and a back-up camera. With her short stature, she loves the power liftgate and lower ride height (as compared to her Durango).
I will try to post some pictures after the dealership details it in about a week.
