    Former Flame: My 1959 Cadillac

I know Member12 and johnstarnes are fans of the '59 Cadillacs, and Member12 asked if I had photos of the beast.

So, I scanned them and here's what she looked like before I sold her to an awesome guy in Australia.

It sure did get a lot of stares, especially when I was attempting to parallel park it!

Wow you are a lucky man! Those are some very fine photographs of a car I will always love....thanks so much.

Makes me wonder again if the 2016 Converj might have in-your-face tailfins, as extensions of the red lenses instead of the rear fender like in the 50s. Total George Jetson.

Gorgeous Buick61! Why did you sell her? She's definitely a collector.

I'll find pictures of it. I told you, we sold the ZR-1 to buy the Saturn L-Series.

I needed the money for the '58 Plymouth. Tough decision, but it was a necessary one.

Well, it's lighter. And there's no torque converter in the Cadillac's Hydramatic, so I didn't rev the engine with my foot on the brake, as that would have done damage. So the Cadillac had a softer start. And the Buick was started in "low" range, which really gives it a jump.

But it was a heck of a lot of fun.
