Doom, Gloom, and a New Car!

With people's prediction of the end of the world and crazy weather we have been seeing (Blizzards during winter - crazy tornadoes now), and not to mention almost nuclear meltdown, I felt it was a great time and excuse to buy the car I always dreamed of since I was 16 and playing Gran Turismo 3.

I decided it on whim as I was there for one of the free oilchanges. It was sitting in the Showroom, only one on the lot and in the color I wanted. I was also fearful of rumors that it would go extinct by 2012 (as a 2013 model) I worked out the payments where I wanted them (lower APR then my other car) and the owner of the dealership shook my hand.

I officially traded in my 2010 Black Manual Mitsubishi Lancer GTS for a 2011 White Mitsubishi Evolution GSR!

This car is a BLAST to drive! New in 2011 is the FUSE hands free system which allows bluetooth integration for phones and mp3 players. You can play Pandora from you phone or connect your MP3 via USB in the glove compartment and similar to sync Bluetooth request songs or playlists.

I will give a larger review and more pictures later this week. If you have any questions - feel free to ask!

    Awesome machine. Congrats.

Did you purchase from the same dealer you got your Lancer from?

Keep us updated, likes, dislikes, ect.

I've also heard rumors that the rumors of the Evo's demise are just rumors.

I friggin love these cars. They look fantastic, always have, always will. Price can get up there in a hurry, but I would love a chance to rip a few gears in a car like this.

Sweet car, and the GSR is the best one for mods with its stronger transmission. There are not too many cars that can keep up with it on a twisty road!

Great choice. One car that I always look to as a shining example of how good things really CAN come in small automotive packages. The things can soak up the mods, too. Have fun!

Yes, I purchased from same dealership. They almost gave me back what I initially paid for my previous GTS Lancer I owned for a little over a year so I broke more then even. They also got me a lower APR.

So Far this car is Amazing, you tell it where to go and it goes. The only error in this car is user error...lol. Everything is so tight in the car that you feel like a piece of it. You can feel every imperfection in the steering wheel. It suprisingly makes an easy daily driver and can be as tame as you want it to be. Only dislike so far is the fuel efficiency and the gauges arnt daily driving friendly. If you see the pictures 0-40 is less then 1/4 of my speedomoter so most driving speed is done by eye with traffic lol.
As for insurance it only went up $30.00.

The latest rumour about the EVO is the next generation will be part hybrid.

It is an Awesome drive, Everytime I'm in it I think of the quote in a members sig that says "When you turn your car on does it do the same back?"

Here are some night pictures I took after work:
