    asim's Trailblazer EXT

Well, yesterday we took delievery on a new 2006 Trailblazer EXT LT (thats a mouthful), so I thought I'd share the car with you guys on GMI.

Of course we paid nothing close to the MSRP, which was around 30 grand (updated MSRP), you will be surprised how many dealerships still try to sell the vehicle with the OLD PRICE (because of old info/non-updated GM Dealerworld). With the supplier discount, GM card, march madness, factory rebates, and dealership discount we got the vehicle for below 26 grand DRIVE OUT. =]

I have a few questions about the vehicle though,

    1. Can someone find inexpensive running boards online for the vehicle that requires no drilling (no ebay please)?

    2. Sometimes when we start the car the DIC, A/C, and Radio screens don't show up...I found the know to adjust the interior lighting, but I don't feel that it is the correct fix to the problem.

    very nice!
hope this turns out to be a great truck, i've heard lot's of bad review for it...but i think they're all biased. My uncle has one and loves it.
Great colors on this one too, too bad the poor thing never got an interior make over, it's long been due...and the current one is losing it's "charm" quickly.
    Looks like quite a bargain!

It's so sad that the only sense of style in the interior is the shifter.

Still, great looking truck. Nice color too. But I thought they were'nt making EXTs anymore.

The 2006 model year is the last for the EXT/XL.

Yeah...that shifter is the only sense of style in there, but I was surprised the interior had anything with a sense of style.

They discontinued the EXT/XL about a month or two ago, but this one has been on the lot for four or more months (so it qualified for the $1000 off).

    Nice photos.

Does anyone know why the EXT trim is being done away with?

I really like that shifter, Asim. The exterior looks really nice. That's the best part of the car. Er, truck. So, how many miles has it got? Have you driven it alot yet? It must be exciting to have a new car. How do you like it?

Nice vehicle asim! I like the trim on the shifter, looks sleek.

Of course we paid nothing close to the MSRP, with the supplier discount, GM card, march madness, factory rebates, and dealership discount we got the vehicle for below 26 grand. =]
So you were able to swing the GMS and GM card? I'm hoping to do that but I've been told it isn't normally allowed.

Oh really? One time at Allen Samuels they said you can't use the GM factory rebate and the supplier discount...But when we were looking this time no one said that we couldn't use the Supplier Discount, Factory Rebate, March Madness, and GM Card at the same time. Just tell the dealership that another dealer quoted that you can use both, and they will most likely give it to you.

It has about 3-4 hundred miles as of today, since we went to Austin. I can't drive yet (I'm only 14, lol), and I like the vehicle, but the interior can be better, also its some of the minor details that GM forgets about, or doesn't put on the TB that pisses you off. Also I wish that the truck has more low-end torque, when you gun the engine it doesn't feel like you are going anywhere.
